Shoestring Bento: Wreath

Shoestring Bento: Wreath from bunchesolunches.comEvery now and then I have a moment of last minute inspiration for a lunch. This was one of those times. I wondered how easy it would be to use the limited tools to make a bow for the wreath (the wreath part was simple) and after thinking about it briefly, I decided it wouldn’t be too difficult. I ended up using the heart cutter and my knife to make the bow.

As for whether my son ate all that broccoli, he did. He loves it. But I also included some hummus to help entice him to eat a little more.

In this lunch:

Applegate Ham
Tillamook Cheese
Whole Wheat Bread
Red Apple
Trader Joe’s Hummus
Trader Joes Cheese Puffs
Organic Broccoli

This lunch was served in Easy Lunch Boxes. The bow and circle sandwiches were made using Wilton linzer cutters. I used a knife to cut the apple.

Clever and inventive! I like it when I come up with a new idea based on what I happen to have in my kitchen at the time.
