Five Church Snack Bentos
With three young boys in our house, snacks to eat after (and sometimes during!) church are a must. My oldest is just getting to be old enough to not NEED a snack, but the other two are not there yet, so I pack snacks. And while we are at it, why not make them cute?
Here are five different snack ideas you can pack that are just right for the time in between church and lunch.
My middle little guy L-O-V-E-S dinosaurs. And trains. But he’s pretty dino obsessed, so I try and oblige him the obsession by making dino shaped meals.
In this box:
Dinosaur Whole Wheat Peanut Butter Sandwich
Cheddar Cheese Dino
Organic Apples
Organic Broccoli
Organic Animal Crackers (Costco brand)
This snack was served in the Planetbox Shuttle. The flower cup is from Wilton. The sandwich cutter was found at a dollar store some years ago and the mini dino cutter was found on Ebay.
I made this bento for “May the Fourth Be With You”. It was before I had this blog so I’ve been saving it to post and figured now is as good a time as any.
In this bento:
Grapes
Organic Celery
Peanut Butter Sandwich on Whole Wheat Bread served on Romaine Lettuce
TJ’s Breakfast Blend Nuts
Rasins inside R2D2
This snack was served in the Planetbox Shuttle. The C3PO head (it’s not the best impression) is from a Williams Sonoma set of Star Wars Cookie Cutters. (Similar ones are on sale right now so be quick if you want to get some!) Lightsaber and Storm Trooper can be found at Bento USA. I found R2S2 at Target before Easter.
This was a fun little lunch I made using airplanes for the theme. We went to California back in July and I was able to visit Daiso Japan and found the little airplane cutter that the cheese is cut out of.
In this snack:
Watermelon
Rasins
Organic Broccoli
Colby Jack Cheese Airplane
Almond Butter Sandwich on Whole Wheat Bread
TJ’s Cinnamon Crackers
This bento was served in the Planetbox Shuttle. The Orange silicone cup and plane cutter (cheese) are from Daiso Japan. The airplane sandwich cutter was from Bento USA. The blue silicone cup is from Wilton.
My oldest LOVES animals, so I made this snack with him in mind. Aren’t those lion sandwiches just the cutest?!
In this snack:
Green Grapes
Strawberries
Organic Broccoli
Jicama
Chicken Salad
Colby Jack Cheese
Whole Wheat Bread
This bento was served in the Planetbox Shuttle. The picks and lion cutter can be found at Bento USA. The silicone cup is KitchenAid brand, but you can find them in a ton of different colors and places.
The final snack bento is just a cute bento that I thought my boys would like.
In this bento is:
Red Grapes
Strawberries
Cucumbers
TJ’s Cheese Puffs
Pecans
Whole Wheat Almond Butter Mini Sandwiches
This bento was served in the Planetbox Shuttle. The blue silicone cup is Wilton. The mini cup is from Daiso Japan. The sandwich cutter can be found from Bento USA.
